Frosted Window Film Buyer’s Guide: Privacy, Print & Cut-Outs

Quick answer

Choose plain frosted window film when privacy is the main goal. Choose printed frosted film when you want privacy plus a full-colour logo, pattern or wayfinding. Choose logo/text cut-outs when you want areas of clear glass to form the branding inside the frosted panel.

Display Wizard's current polymeric frosted film is 80 microns thick and creates an etched-glass effect for interior glazing. A single drop can be up to 1372mm wide and any practical length; wider installations are supplied in multiple drops.

The film can be ordered as regular or reversed artwork. Reversed artwork is used when the graphic is applied to the inside of the glass but needs to read correctly from outside.

Printed logo or cut-out logo?

A printed logo puts colour directly onto the frosted film. A cut-out logo removes the frosted material in the shape of the logo or lettering so the clear glass shows through.
