Designing a fabric display stand

You should think carefully about how to design a fabric display stand as most offer double-sided print as standard. Therefore, it is important to remember to include graphics on the back of your display in order to make the most of this feature.

With hanging structures, the print will be 360 deg so again this needs to be taken into consideration when designing your graphics. The inside of the display will not have print, and will be the same colour as the main fabric.

Looking after your fabric display

Despite being incredibly resilient to wear and tear, the printed fabric graphic sock can be damaged if not handled correctly. The fabric graphic is stretchy in nature, but if too much tension is placed on the material, the seams will begin to tear. In order to avoid this, ensure the stitching aligns with the frame, and is not pulled round on one side.

Traditionally, if a display obtained a dirty mark it would be rendered useless, however, the difference with fabric displays is that they can be washed as many times as you wish. Even if your graphics aren't visibly dirty, it's good practice to wash them every now and then to ensure they maintain their vibrancy.

The frame used to construct fabric displays is made from lightweight 32mm aluminium poles and as such, care should be taken when packing away and transporting as they can be bent if placed under excessive force.
