Located centrally to the UK, the Coventry Building Society Arena (formerly Ricoh Arena) is a two hour drive for 75% of the English population. Built in 2005, the Arena was officially opened in 2007 and originally named the City of Coventry Stadium.
It hosts a football ground, exhibition hall, hotel, leisure club and a casino. The current sponsors of the Arena are the Japanese company Ricoh and the Arena works with many local companies to promote commercialism in the area.
The Arena has been seen as the catalyst for major regeneration in the area, hosting a wide variety of exhibitions, events and concerts.
