Student Graphic Design Competition Winners 2017/2018

Display Wizard are delighted to announce the winners of our annual graphic design competition for the 2017/2018 academic year.

The brief - for any UK-based student at a higher education facility - was to design two display stands looking at the benefits of studying at their instituion based on the city or town where it is located.

This year we had some fantastic entrants and after a tough judging session we came up with three worthy winners.

First Prize - Patrick Dellacasa - Loughborough University

  • £500 grant

  • Internship with Display Wizard

  • 3x3 pop up stand and banner stand designs printed for the University

Banner Stand3 x 3 Pop Up StandWhat the Judges Said About the Design:“The design was really lively and vibrant, as well as ticking all the boxes for the brief. The text on the t-shirt highlighted the positive aspects of living in Loughborough and is a great advert for the University."

"In the essay, Patrick explained the amazing opportunities in Loughborough, with the t-shirt transmitting the idea that University life is tailored towards the students."

Second Prize - Oskar Potocki - University of the Highlands and Islands

  • £100 grant

  • The banner stand design printed for the University

  • Internship with Display Wizard

Banner Stand Design3 x 3 Pop Up Stand DesignWhat the Judges Said About the Design:“Oskar's design was extremely professional and really considered the University's brand guidelines. Oskar has highlighted the rich history and culture of the area in his design."

"In the essay Oskar explained the influence of Inverness Castle and the natural environment that surrounds it."

Third Prize - Kamila Różańska - University of the Highlands and Islands

  • £50 grant

  • The banner stand design printed for the University

  • Internship with Display Wizard

"In her essay Kamila explained how the design had been influenced by the landscapes that surround the students as well as the community atmosphere."
